AeQuim Quantity Surveyors is a firm of highly experienced, objective and focused construction cost consultants that specialises in all commercial construction projects no matter what the size. We offer full service quantity surveying and construction cost management services.
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, our team has global experience in the construction environment, working on major projects across South Africa as well as internationally. We have earned a reputation for integrity, objectivity and professionalism, and have built a network of strong relationships in the industry. Our team is widely trusted for reducing overall project financial risk by offering a high level of value-added services during all design phases prior to the construction commencement.

Our name, AeQuim, is derived from the Latin word Aequum, meaning ‘in fairness’. It refers to the primary value that underpins our brand. With over 55 years of combined experience and well over 1 million square metres of development under our belts our experience has given us sought-after knowledge in the built environment where investigation on alternatives, contractual advice and cost planning for projects no matter what size or complexity, is key.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
AeQuim administers professional contractual budget control for all projects, exercising meticulous cost control, best practice and expertise to bring each commission to final account and closeout, always striving to deliver a successful conclusion for all parties. Our portfolio features major commercial and industrial developments, including shopping centres, commercial mixed-use centres, corporate head offices and campuses, warehousing and distribution centres and residential developments.
COST CONTROL SERVICES
AeQuim manages all aspects of construction contracts to reduce project financial risk. Ownership of the task at hand can’t be measured but can be seen. In this regard we strive to take personal ownership of each project. Our services include all quantity surveying functions through all stages of the development process. Although we have tried and tested documentation formats, we will “tailor” our documentation to our clients’ requirements.
Through efficient management of budget costs, monthly project payment schedules, live cash flow tracking and product procurement, together with real-time management and measurement, we ensure that costs are contained, returns are optimised, aesthetics are maintained and all contractual obligations are met.
